Ollie Parkin

Ollie Parkin was born and raised south of London, UK, where he received his education in Industrial Design and Engineering. He found himself drawn to the degree's more creative and artistic aspects and longed for a more unrestricted way to express his ideas.

Ollie then lived in Vancouver for fifteen years, enjoying the West Coast beauty and lifestyle, and has recently moved from coast to coast, making Prince Edward Island his new home.

His robust and bright carvings are made on a lathe from coloured pencils and resin. They are inspired by his love for colourful, abstract, and surreal art as well as the desire to create a structure with texture that you can hold in your hands. He enjoys playing with the composition of colours within his creations.

Each piece is sealed with tung oil and is food-safe.
