My feeling is that we humans spend a good deal of our time disconnecting from our "wild" selves...not intentionally maybe, but the rattling of the day to day gets in the way of our interior calls. As a result, trusting our instinct and intuition does not come naturally. The truly wild things however, are in the world in a purposeful way and I'm pretty sure they don't second guess themselves or run things by their intellect before they actually trust their senses. I watch them and consider this.
I'm hopeful that we will one day realize that nature is not something that we "go out in", but that we are actually already a part of. If we were to pay attention to the longings that we can't name and figure out that what is actually missing is the acknowledgement of our wildness and our place in the bigger picture.
So, my work comes with these considerations and perhaps doesn't literally say these things, but perhaps draws some visceral response that invites some thought about it.
