Dianna Shyne, a native of the Pacific Northwest, has been painting for over twenty years.
Her paintings have received over a dozen national awards including first place in the NWWS Open Exhibition 2002, the Grumbacher Gold Medallion and the Winsor and Newton Award.
She has been published in several art magazines.
Her work is included in private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Canada, Japan, China, and Western Europe.
Ms. Shyne was trained in Russian Impressionism, but enjoys many other experimental and traditional forms of painting.
Daniel Smith (Art Supply) has created a set of "Dianna Shyne Acrylics" which they began marketing in 2003.
She participated in an artist-research project in the Northwest rainforest canopy sponsored by National Geographic.
Each year Dianna gives a plein air workshop on Prince Edward Island.
